If you’re a Podium user, we’re excited to give you a chance to find out—at least, in your Inbox. As we wrap up the last 2021 installment of What’s New in Podium, we’re very excited to share a big performance update that lets you search contacts by name and number lightning fast.

We’re also excited to introduce text keyword opt-ins, more information tracked in Contact Profiles, and new developer endpoints for those building with Podium’s public API. Let’s take a closer look.

Have you noticed a faster Inbox? 

Inbox speed enhancement. We’ve been hard at work on search enhancements to make your Podium Inbox experience lightning fast. On average, Podium customers are now receiving results 240x more quickly when searching contacts by name and number. 

These enhancements are live for all Podium users now. Log in today and start searching to see the impact.

Let customers text a keyword to get your offers.

Text keyword opt-in. One more highly-effective way to grow your marketing contact list! Now, you can set keywords for customers to text you and compliantly subscribe to your text marketing campaigns. 

See it in action right away: text “HOLIDAY” to (801) 590-0628 to see an example of text keyword opt-in right on your phone.*

To set your own keywords, navigate to the audience growth page in your Campaigns experience, and choose the “Keyword Opt-in” to get started.

Enhanced Contact Profiles. Save time and more easily deliver a great customer experience. Contact Profiles are a single place for your team to see the history of interaction with each customer in one place. 

Contact Profiles in Podium now automatically capture:

  • Conversation notes

  • Review history
  • Voice Calls and Voicemails

Developers: Integrate contacts across systems and more.

New endpoints for Podium’s public API. If you’re a Podium developer, we’re excited to make you aware of new capabilities available around our public API:

  • Retrieve a contact: Pull contact info from Podium (including opt-in/out status, email/phone, and tags) to display in an external system.
  • Get a Location: Get the details of a specific location in Podium, such as Address, Name, and Podium Phone Number.
  • Get a User: Get the details of a specific user, such as First & Last name, Role, and Assigned Locations.

In addition, we’ve enhanced existing endpoints in the following ways:
